Xtrutech is a specialist in Twin Screw Extruder systems, backed by more than two decades of expertise. Our extensive knowledge has shaped the design of our extruders, tailored to meet the growing demand for Biopolymer solutions. We proudly offer a comprehensive range of production and laboratory extruder lines designed to handle various biomaterials, including PVOH, PLA, PVA, Cellulose, and starch-based polymers.

They offer seamlessly integrated ancillary equipment to complement their extruder models, including feeders, air-cooled conveyors, and pelletisers. Their XTS19 extruder, ideal for small batch testing and experimentation, can be paired with any of these ancillaries or an air-cooled conveyor, which is especially beneficial for hygroscopic applications. Xtrutech’s strand pelletisers produce 3mm pellets and feature easily accessible panels for cleaning, along with full safety interlocks and electrical controls.

Moving up in scale, the XTS24 offers a slightly larger extruder, suitable for low-scale production and trial formulations. Xtrutech can provide barrels with lengths ranging from a standard 18.5D to 24.5D, up to 54L/D (in 6D increments) for more complex applications.

Their XTS35 is a versatile extruder catering to laboratory and production needs. It excels as a lab machine when the increased free volume is required and offers high throughput for speciality products. Additionally, all XTS extruders benefit from both top and side feeding options.

They have established the Innovation Centre at their UK Headquarters to ensure their customers are confident in their investment. This laboratory facility allows process trials and optimisation conducted in collaboration with their experienced engineering team. Prospective clients can gain a comprehensive understanding of their product range using the XTS19 and XTS35 Twin Screw Extruders alongside lab-scale ancillaries to replicate real-world scenarios and applications. Process trials enable fine-tuning for optimal results; their skilled engineers can also offer guidance on barrel temperatures and screw profiles, mixing, intake, and feed issues.
