Newton Aycliffe based Formula Plastics have been trading for more than twenty years, steady growth bringing current annual turnover to around £4 million.Their technical expertise in specialities such as twin-shot moulding has established them as leading tier 2 moulders within the automotive sector.
Products including under body, instrument panel and HVAC components and assemblies, are now supplied to most UK OEMs. Additional business is also coming from non-automotive sources, resulting in significant investment in new equipment to meet this growing demand.
Over £600k has been spent on new Engel injection moulding machines since 2016, providing a wide tonnage range of 50 to 650T.
As impressive as this machine portfolio is, the accuracy and reliability of the associated ancillary equipment is just as vital to Formula and their customers. The company has developed a strong partnership with Renmar Plastics Machinery. Recent purchases include several material dryers, loaders, dosing units and mould heaters.
