SPRA Announces Event on Sustainable Polymers

The Scottish Plastics & Rubber Association (SPRA) is delighted to announce its upcoming event, “An Overview of the Sustainable Polymers Market from on Top of the Fence,” scheduled for Tuesday, 10th September 2024. This informative session will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland, located at 3 Netherton Square, Renfrewshire, PA3 2EF.

This event, sponsored by Engel, aims to provide a balanced and pragmatic view of the role of “green” and sustainable polymers within the broader thermoplastics landscape. It is designed to help attendees make informed decisions regarding the use of these materials and communicate sustainable goals effectively across the supply chain.

Duncan Scott

Duncan Scott, Director of Scott CIP Ltd, will be the keynote speaker. With a 35-year career in the plastics industry, Duncan brings extensive experience in UPVC extrusion, nylon injection moulding, and commercial roles in thermoplastics distribution. His expertise in bio and compostable polymers will offer valuable insights into integrating sustainable polymers into various applications.

The event is free to attend, but spaces are limited. It is open to professionals involved in polymer specification, as well as those in sales, finance, and senior management. The goal is to equip attendees with a comprehensive understanding of sustainable polymers and the various methods to achieve sustainability in their products.
