RECOUP Call for Plastics Recycling Innovation Entries
Plastics recycling charity, RECOUP, is delighted to promote and support for the fifth year running an award at the Plastics Industry Awards 2019. The award aimed at driving the demand for recycled plastics through innovation is open both to design and final product entries.
It gives the plastics recycling industry the opportunity to demonstrate commitment to the environment and saving of resources through using recycled materials. The winner will be announced at a glittering awards dinner at the London Hilton on Friday, 27th September 2019.
Stuart Foster, CEO of RECOUP “We have been connected with this award since 2014 and remain committed to encouraging and promoting the use of recycled within plastics manufacturing. The awards provide an important platform to demonstrate that plastic is a circular resource. Consumers are now looking to manufacturers to be committed to more environmentally sustainable manufacturing.”
The awards are open for entries at www.recoup.org/brp2019 and have been designed to enable reprocessors, manufacturers and designers to showcase their products. The criteria allows for products where either part or all the recycling supply chain is completed within the UK to still be eligible for entry.
Santiago Navarro, CEO and Co-founder of Garçon Wines and 2018 winners commented:
“Sustainability is fundamental to everything we do at Garçon Wines which is why we collaborated closely with M&H Plastics to raise the bar to ensure our flat wine bottles are made from 100% post-consumer recycled PET and are fully and easily recyclable after use. As such, it was an honour to be recognised for this commitment through winning the UK Best Recycled Product Award from RECOUP which is a testament to the importance of using the right plastics responsibly in our business and M&H’s commitment to the environment to be a responsible manufacturer.”
The competition is open for entries until Friday, 31st May 2019.
