PCE Take the Pledge

PCE Take the Pledge

PCE Automation have signed the Youth Pledge, an initiative of the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership  which aims to ensure that every young person, between the age of 16 and 24, throughout Norfolk and Suffolk, are given the opportunity to obtain an apprenticeship, training, work experience, or a suitable role, within 3 months of leaving education or employment.

PCE are delighted to welcome on board 3 new apprentices, underlining their commitment to the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership Youth Pledge.

They are pleased to welcome:

  • Henry Howe who has completed A Levels in Maths, Physics and ICT, at Lowestoft 6th Form College. Henry will spend 4 years with PCE on a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Ryan Betts who has completed his Level 2 and Level 3 Machining qualifications and will spend 4 years as a Machinist.
  • Aaron Gouldby who has completed both a Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Installation qualifications at Great Yarmouth College.  He is on board to serve a 4-year Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.

PCE have a long tradition of training apprentices, having welcomed new recruits throughout Engineering and IT areas of the business and employing apprentices for 30 years.  The family owned, Suffolk based business firmly believes in providing the opportunity for young people to thrive within the engineering industry.

Managing Director James Cook commented:

“We are thrilled to be supporting Youth Pledge East. Here at PCE, we like to give our apprentices the opportunity to learn from our best, hopefully to the point where they choose a career with PCE, becoming fully fledged members of the PCE family. Henry, Ryan and Aaron arrive at an exciting time for PCE and we are delighted they have chosen us.”

David Nolloth started his PCE journey as an apprentice over 20 years ago and has recently been appointed to the board of Directors:

“I am incredibly grateful for the initial opportunity to serve an apprenticeship and fondly remember this important phase in my career. I thoroughly enjoyed the learning curve and my personal developmental journey.
