Over 1700 Apprentices Trained by Make UK

This week is National Apprenticeship Week and Make UK is pleased to announce that since September 2013 it has trained over 1,700 engineering and manufacturing apprentices at its Birmingham technology hubs.

Make UK customers include; Jaguar Land Rover, Severn Trent and Ibstock, to name a few, and Make UK welcomes over 350 apprentices every year to its Technology Hub in Aston, Birmingham.

Fiona McGarry, Engagement Manager at Make UK, commented: “Apprenticeships are a great route for those looking for an alternative to university and prefer a different approach to learning. The manufacturing and engineering sector is looking for bright, talented, enthusiastic people to join apprenticeship programmes right now.
