Negri Bossi has invested in the latest equipment to determine and adjust tie-bar tension.
Strain gauges can be fitted in ten minutes with no trailing wires or wireless connection – the service team can check multiple machines during one visit!
The Gefran QE1008-W Wireless Testing System can ensure all newly commissioned machines are correctly set up and allow us to check that existing machines have equal tension across all four bars. This is crucial for all toggle machines, as there are numerous problems which may occur if the bars do not stretch evenly:
- Excessive wear to pins & bushings
- Uneven clamping force across platens can lead to flashing
- In extreme cases, tie-bars can fatigue and snap
- Quick precise checking of clamping force without the use of additional platforms to mount DTI’s – quick set up times and no trailing cables.
- Detects equal locking force and detects if a tie bar is cracked.
- Negri Bossi can prove if your tool is square by testing on your tool then fitting our ground blocks and comparing the results.
- Multiple machines tested in the same day subject to access.
- Electronic and excel readouts.
