MGS Technical Plastics, Blackburn-based leading Plastic Injection Moulder, has welcomed three new employees in the last four months. With the recent retirements of long-standing employees, the company welcomed Steve Gaughan, Quality Manager, in October, Diane Clayton, Accounts Controller, in January and Mike Best, Moulding Technician, in December.
With a background in the plastic industry, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and a new perspective to the role. He has been working in the plastic industry since 2015. Throughout those 9 years, he has been trained as an auditor and is a member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
Steve was asked about starting at MGS and said: “I’m excited to bring a fresh perspective to a team that understands Quality is an integral part of the production process.
It’s a dream job when you can walk into a role that already has in place a robust functional quality system, built and supported by passionate team members, with the drive to make us the best we can be.”
Diane has joined our Accounts team and will be taking over from Margaret on her retirement. She will be bringing over 30 years of experience in finance and accounting to the team. Diane is looking forward to putting her own touch on the role.
Mike Best, Moulding Technician, joined MGS in December to continue to strengthen the technical moulding team. He joined us from another injection moulding company and will bring his experience as a Technician/Setter to MGS.
Neil Garrity, Managing Director, has said: “With new employees and continued investment in our facility, the team are excited about our future. Last year was a milestone year, MGS had been manufacturing for over 50 years. We want to continue to build on that progress with our team.”
