The newly formed Merriott/Talisman Group is delighted to announce an exciting evolution in its leadership structure as it embarks on the next chapter of growth and innovation. Combining Merriott Group’s expertise in injection and composite moulding with Talisman Plastics’ reputation for precision plastic manufacturing, the Group is set to deliver enhanced solutions across a diverse range of industries.
In May 2024, two of the UK’s leading moulders, Merriott Plastics and Talisman Plastics, announces its merger to create a multi-site, multi-competence business. This combination brings together over a century of expertise, with expanded technical moulding capacity ranging from 25 to 1,100 tonnes, covering injection, compression, and composite moulding. Serving key markets such as automotive, electrical, defence, and air and fluid movement, the new entity offers enhanced local product development, manufacturing, logistics, and technical support across the Midlands, South West, and South East, with an expected turnover exceeding £15m this year.
Effective from 6th January 2025, Shaun Champion will step into the role of Group CEO. Shaun has been instrumental in driving success as Managing Director of Talisman Plastics over the past six years, delivering outstanding results. He will be supported by Andrew Lawrence, who will assume the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Paul Dobson, who will take up the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
This new leadership structure marks a significant milestone as the Merriott/Talisman Group comes together under a single, unified identity. Looking forward to 2025, the Group will focus on a five-year growth strategy, with plans to strengthen its branding and deliver enhanced benefits to its customers, suppliers, and staff.
