KraussMaffei UK Strengthens Partnership with PTIC With Delivery of PX Injection Moulding Machine

KraussMaffei UK has reinforced its commitment to supporting skills development within the UK manufacturing industry with the delivery of a state-of-the-art 81-250 PX all-electric injection moulding machine to the Polymer Training and Innovation Centre (PTIC). This machine will play a pivotal role in training apprentices and industry professionals in modern injection moulding processes.
The PX series of machines from KraussMaffei is renowned for its flexibility, productivity, and energy efficiency. The newly delivered machine is also equipped with the increasingly popular APCplus (Adaptive Process Control), which ensures zero-defect production by automatically compensating for fluctuations in the injection moulding process with enhanced precision. Known as “cruise control for the injection moulding process”, APCplus automatically adjusts key parameters in real-time to compensate for changes in temperature, material consistency, or humidity, enabling an incredibly consistent moulding process.
Trainees and apprentices at the PTIC in Telford will benefit from hands-on experience with cutting-edge machinery technology, ensuring they gain practical skills relevant to today’s manufacturing environment. With the associated ancillaries, integrations and digital tools, this is a fantastic opportunity for learners to work directly with industry-leading injection moulding technology to further their studies.
