Key Member of Pentagon Plastics’ Team Retires
At the end of the month, Pentagon Plastics will be bidding a sad farewell to their Operations Manager, Ron Fraser as he steps into his well-earned retirement.
Ron joined Pentagon Plastics in 2008 when they acquired Jarzon Plastics and is a highly respected member of the team. Ron was instrumental in the smooth transition of production, continuity with key accounts and has been in senior positions with the business ever since.
As in any business, when a senior staff member leaves, adjustments need to be made to the structure to ensure the service level to customers can be maintained as seamlessly as possible. To achieve this goal, Pentagon Plastics have been undertaking a management restructure and are pleased to announce that John Horspool (Tooling Manager for the group) will be taking over as Operations Manager from 1 April 2018, supported by their middle management structure of long-serving, experienced staff.
At present, John already works closely with Pentagon Plastics’ MD, Paul Edwards, on all tooling and quoting, but will expand this to oversee the Mould Shop and supporting departments. The bedrock of Pentagon’s business is provided by their staff. With a strong supportive management structure and their progressive nature, they are building a strong future for their UK manufacturing business.
Paul Edwards, MD says:
“Ron has been an inspiration to me and I have learned a lot of key skills that have assisted me in taking my plans for the business forward. He has always been very supportive and will go that extra mile plus some to ensure the customers’ experience exceeds their expectations.”
Pentagon Plastics would like to wish Ron a very long and happy retirement and express their deepest thanks for the commitment and passion that he has shown throughout his years with them.
