Face-to-Face Training Returns at RJG

Face-to-Face Training Returns at RJG

Following months of conducting its training courses online, RJG Technologies is delighted to be able to welcome the public back to its training facility in Peterborough from 13th July 2020, with reduced class sizes, social distancing measures, and PPE supplied to ensure a safe training environment.

RJG Technologies adjusted to lockdown measures by transitioning its most popular courses to an online environment, allowing students from around the globe remote access to RJG’s award-winning injection moulding training services, from the comfort of their home or office.

The online sessions are led by RJG’s qualified industry experts and consultants, using a combination of live video exercises, roundtable discussions and pre-recorded video exercises to simulate the real-world problem solving involved as best as possible. Students then can practise what they learn in pre-recorded, self-guided labs with instructor commentary and guidance.

The online courses proved to be popular, with the next online session of RJG’s flagship ‘Fundamentals of Systematic Injection Moulding’ online course starting on 27th July 2020. Seats are still available, and more course information and booking details can be found on the RJG website.

Public Training Returns to Peterborough

From 13th July 2020, RJG can welcome students back to its training facility in Peterborough, for face-to-face training sessions once again. To allow for social distancing, maximum class sizes have been reduced from twelve to six, and distancing measures will be in place at all times in the classroom, and while undertaking practical work at the injection moulding machines.

All students will also be provided with PPE as part of every course, so you can rest assured that your staff will be in good hands, with minimal risk while at the premises.

Andy Nicholls, RJG Training Manager, commented: “Here at RJG we do not believe in training for trainings sake, but for productivity improvements. As businesses begin to return to some sense of normality, business owners need to ensure that their staff are ready to go and that they are well trained, enabling an efficient injection moulding process, with minimal scrap levels and wastage.

“We believe that correct education and a thorough understanding of the injection moulding process is a critical business need for any plastics company today. Especially during difficult market periods, correctly trained staff will ensure maximum profitability by maximising part-quality, and minimising downtime and scrappage.”

Will Clarke, Marketing Account Executive at PlastikCity, attended RJG’s four-day ‘Fundamentals of Systematic Injection Moulding’ course in January. This course is aimed at technical and non-technical personnel involved in the injection moulding industry, such as sales, marketing, quality, production or administration personnel, as well as for production, development and design staff.

Will commented: “The fundamentals course at RJG was highly informative and I learned a lot over the four days. It gave me a great understanding of the injection moulding process, the factors that affect it, and how this relates to high or low-quality parts coming off the machine. “

“We spent around half of the course doing practical work, it was my first experience setting an injection moulding machine, and we had plenty of time to practise while performing problem-solving exercises in small groups. The staff were knowledgeable and approachable and added lots of context to the course material retelling old industry tales.”

“I can recommend this course as a great introduction to the injection moulding process, with further course pathways available to build on this foundation in the future.”
