ENGEL UK Supports Injection Moulding Academy

ENGEL has supplied an e-mac all-electric moulding machine to the Bespak Injection Moulding Academy in Norfolk, to support the next generation of apprentices, technicians and engineers.

High precision injection moulding operations in the UK face a skills gap when both recruiting and retaining experienced people for their operations.

Bespak, a leading manufacturer of respiratory drug delivery devices, valves, actuators, and injectable devices, has taken action to address this issue.

By investing in its own Academy at King’s Lynn, Norfolk, providing industry recognised training, the company have been able to ensure that they can utilise all the technical innovations required for increasingly complex medical devices. It has also enabled them to give all their employees an appreciation of injection moulding.

Bespak believes that Apprenticeship programmes are fundamental in supporting future growth. But it’s not just apprentices that benefit from the facilities on offer. Operators, technicians & engineers take part in a range of injection moulding process courses up to RJG Master Moulder certification onsite. These courses are enhanced with a range of other learning initiatives including validation, statistics, DOE, Moldflow & Polymer Science.

ENGEL has been delighted to supply an e-mac all-electric injection moulding machine to the training facility. Ideally suited as an entry-level machine, the e-mac features an innovative energy recovery system and provides high productivity from a small footprint.
