Design consultants, Design 4 Plastics Ltd, have developed their own patented Rainwater Terrace water butt that attempts to dispel the current anti-plastic rhetoric and address the SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) issues also currently on people’s minds.
The current hot, dry weather is bringing into sharp focus the importance of saving rainwater with the potential for hosepipe bans, parched gardens and flash flooding when it does eventually rain.
The Rainwater Terrace water butt is a new concept in rainwater collection promoting the reuse of valuable rainwater and “grow your own” sustainability.
The unique patented modular design has distinct advantages over other water butts on the market. Rainwater Terrace® not only saves the householder money by reusing rainwater in the garden, its unique integrated plant growing system makes it an attractive addition to any home.
Transportation is not an issue as all the parts nest within each other creating a compact package that’s easily transportable in a small car.
The Rainwater Terrace® is built to last. Injection moulded in heavy gauge UV stable plastic, these strong durable components have excellent impact strength and are manufactured to perform in all weather conditions. All materials and recyclable and where possible, recycled materials have been used. Requiring no special tools or complicated plumbing Rainwater Terrace® is very simple and quick to install.
Since the product launch, Rainwater Terrace has picked up many awards including GLEE garden care product of the year and RHS Chelsea product of the year finalist.
