Counterplas Expands with Borche
Counterplas continues to invest in its new 68,000 square foot site, with the purchase of new plant and production machinery in excess of £750,000, required to meet increased demand.
Counterplas acquired the factory and assets following the administration of Showpla and thus moved from the existing site in West Bromwich over to the new facility at Cheslyn Hay, Walsall last year.
The company selected Borche as its new machinery partner, citing machine specification and performance, as well as energy efficiency as key drivers in the decision.
The new Borche 1200 and 1500 ton Servo drive two-platen machines, complete with Sepro Servo Robots, join an existing line up of 19 machines ranging from 70 to 1600 ton capacity.
Counterplas has been established for 30 years and the company serve a wide range of market sectors including, building and construction, healthcare, automotive, DIY, containers and material handling, electrical, lighting and household appliances, amongst others.
The firm offers a complete solution from initial product design, 3D modelling through to full mass production and also have a wider capability for 2K moulding, insert moulding, gas injection, ultrasonic welding, printing and assembly as required.
Counterplas are also accredited with the following quality standards, ISO9001 quality management and ISO14001 environmental management.
