Bunting Draws Crowds at RWM 2019
From the moment the RWM 2019 exhibition opened the doors, visitors were drawn to Bunting’s busy and noisy stand. There was plenty for visitors to see with demonstrations taking place on both the Eddy Current Separator and Stainless Steel Magnetic Separator.
“This year’s show was the busiest for a long time,” explained Simon Ayling, the Managing Director of Bunting’s European operations. “We wanted visitors to see metal being separated. Every time we ran the Stainless Steel Magnetic Separator or Eddy Current Separator, people flocked to the stand.”
Same Company, New Look
RWM 2019 was the first European exhibition featuring the new Bunting global branding. Since acquiring Master Magnets in 2017, Bunting has developed a reputation as one of the leading European suppliers of Magnetic Separators and Eddy Current Separators to the recycling and waste sector.
“We are at the forefront of developing new technology to enable better metal separation,” said Simon. “RWM gave us the platform to show visitors what we do and our stand stood out because we featured production-sized operating equipment. We believe that it is vitally important that equipment suppliers exhibit their technology at exhibitions.”
The Metal Separation Module (incorporating a Vibratory Feeder, Drum Magnet and Eddy Current Separator) is owned by the University of Birmingham. The University keep the Module at the Recycling Test Facility in Redditch, near Birmingham.
Hot Topic of Plastic Waste Recycling
As expected, plastic waste recycling was a hot topic of conversation at RWM19.
“We are now in discussion with a number of established and new plastic waste recycling companies,” said Simon. “Bunting has a long history of supplying equipment into the plastics sector, and we were able to use that experience to help address metal contamination issues.”
Busy Times
The displayed metal separation equipment is being rehoused in the Recycling Test Facility ready to undertake tests for visitors from the RWM exhibition.
“The next two weeks will focus on test work, visiting customers and issuing quotations,” said Simon. “There is a great deal of work to do. RWM has given us the opportunity to help recycling companies solve their metal separation problems, and we look forward to the show in 2020!”
