Boddingtons Success at MTI Expo 2018
Award-winning plastics injection moulding manufacturer, Boddingtons, celebrated a very successful Med-Tech Innovation (MTI) show in Coventry, April 24-25th.
The Kent-based manufacturer has already signed up for next year’s MTI event – booking a larger stand space in a prominent position. The 2018 MTI exhibition will take place at the NEC, Birmingham, May 15-16.
Boddingtons is currently visiting and hosting those customer companies who pitched proposals on its stand over the course of the two day exhibition
Managing Director Andy Tibbs said that ‘it was very pleasing that most of our visitors were already very well acquainted with most of the features and benefits of our manufacturing operations – not least our Class 7 cleanrooms and our services in legal and regulatory work.’
Boddingtons MTI ’18 visitors came very well prepared – with CAD drawings, product samples, and specific manufacturing enquiries and requests.
Chris Philpott, Boddingtons Business Development Manager for the sector said that ‘although we saw many old friends in the trade, the 2018 show produced many new business enquiries. There was a good footfall; the co-location of the pharmaceutical exhibition was helpful, and the two days served up much variety of enquiry, from blue chip OEM to small inventor and in all areas of the UK and abroad.’
Andy Tibbs noted that ‘med-tech contract manufacturing is a very detailed and long haul business. In Class 1 and 2 device production, for example, the regulators are crystal clear on the mandatory cleanroom needs.
As well as being FDA compliant and a 1st class technical moulder, Boddingtons is delighted to supply all manner of additional services to med-tech customers – overmoulding, assembly, packaging, printing and labelling.’
For the past four years running, Boddingtons has won awards for its design work in the med-tech sphere. On the night of April 24th, Boddingtons added the runner up trophy at the MTI Advancing Healthcare Awards for the range of its manufacturing services; highlighting the investment and contribution the company has made to the sector.
Boddingtons Med-Tech capabilities will next be exhibited at the annual Medica Compamed, show in Düsseldorf, Germany, November 12-15, 2018.
