Benvic Continues its International Expansion with the Acquisition of Dugdale UK
Benvic Europe SAS, a European leader in the compounds market, has closed the acquisition of Dugdale Compounds Limited, the leading independent PVC compounder in the UK.
Based at Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire (UK), Dugdale has been manufacturing PVC compounds since 1959 and is widely recognised for its expertise, customer service and product quality. The company is focused on high service, speciality products for a large range of applications and end-markets, including construction, leisure, healthcare, electronics and transport. Dugdale has 125 employees and sold around 26,000 tonnes of PVC compounds in 2018, generating revenues of £36 million.
The acquisition of Dugdale marks the sixth add-on investment for Benvic in just over 18 months following the acquisitions of Vinyloop (Italy), Alfa PVC (Poland), Plantura (Italy) and more recently Modenplast (Italy) and Ereplast (France). With this latest investment, Benvic continues to expand its European footprint by continuing to diversify its product portfolio and enhancing its operational capabilities. In order to ensure seamless continuity of existing supply and service levels for customers, the two companies’ commercial and technical teams will work closely together going forward.
