Avalon Plastics Achieve Environmental Accreditation ISO 14001:215
Originally established in the 1940’s, through the generations, Avalon Plastics has developed and grown to become the most successful trade plastic injection moulding & tooling business in the South West of England.
With 41 injection moulding machines and 120 employees, including a team of skilled toolmakers, Avalon Plastics has positioned itself as a one-stop-shop for your plastic manufacturing needs.
As well as their top-class manufacturing services, Avalon Plastics has committed to reaching net zero emissions using a range of sustainable and renewable sources, including solar panels on their 75,000 sqm factory roof. The Somerset factory used around 4 million kilowatt hours (equivalent to 400 houses) yearly but has seen a 20% reduction since the solar panels were introduced.
The Importance of Environmental Accreditation
Achieving ISO 14001:2015 will help Avalon Plastics achieve the intended outcomes of its environmental management plans, which provide value for the environment, the business itself and interested parties. Consistent with the organisation’s environmental policy, the intended outcomes of an environmental management system include:
- Enhancement of environmental performance;
- Fulfilment of compliance obligations;
- Achievement of environmental objectives.
