Ampacet, a global masterbatch leader, has introduced ProVitalTM+ GermsClean, an additive developed to protect plastic components in healthcare facilities against the proliferation of microrganisms by blocking the growth of bacteria and slowing down fungi multiplication, preventing the formation of harmful biological layers.
Most nosocomial infections are caused by bacteria such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Escherichia coli, Enterococci or by fungi like Candida.
