The Advanced Plastics Group Are Gearing Up for a Busy Interplas Event
The Advanced Plastics Group, with manufacturing sites in Hull, Fareham and Manchester, will be exhibiting at Interplas 2023, and with just days to go, the team are gearing up for a very busy event.
Interplas 2023, celebrating its 75th anniversary, takes place at NEC Birmingham from 26th to 28th September and The Advanced Plastics Group can be found on stand A40M.
CEO Chris Pearson and Group Sales Director Michael Hadfield will greet visitors to the stand. With a combined 80-year plastic industry experience, they will be well-placed to answer all technical, sales and commercial questions.
The directors and staff of The Advanced Plastics Group are very proud of the business and strongly believe that they are the best in the UK. This thought is backed up by a PIA panel of judges that awarded The Advanced Plastics Group as the current Processor of the Year.
Group Sales Director Michael Hadfield stated, “The Advanced Plastics Group will showcase a significant array of moulding and post-mould processes at the NEC, demonstrating the depth of knowledge available to current and new customers. We also hope to meet customers looking to ‘RESHORE’ production back to the UK, where we can demonstrate significant experience in the Hull, Fareham and Manchester sites. The recent pandemic and war in Europe have demonstrated the lack of flexibility in long supply chains, and we hope to see a continuation in a more localised approach.”
Showcased items include:
Injection Moulding – 70 machines ranging from 22 tonnes to 1,600 tonnes.
FIP (Form In Place) Foam Seals – Fully automated 6-axis robot-controlled foam cells for cost-effective seal applications.
Media Overmoulding – Overmoulding of various filter media, including paper, fabric, plastic, metal, mesh.
Plastic Welding – Processes include ultrasonic, spin, heat stake and vibration.
Printing – Including pad, digital, hot foil and screen.
Validation – Speed of measurement is critical on the validation of large projects and CNC-controlled CMM equipment significantly reduces timescales.
The team expects a very busy show, with visitor and exhibitor numbers expected to be 20-year high.
