Double award winner at the recent Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council Business awards for Technical Excellence and Engineering Excellence, the company has again demonstrated how they have successfully collaborated with a leading UK manufacturer to help them achieve their commercial objectives.
Advanced technical capability
Ad-Vance Engineering was recently appointed to design and manufacture a highly complex production tool for the manufacture of high-volume PPE for the international market.
With a stretching turnaround of only 5 weeks, the company has received an order to design and manufacture a 24 drop hot runner tool. This fully hardened H13 production tool incorporating a Synventive 24 drop 06E-02 thermal gate hot runner system can produce 96 components every 10 seconds.
Led by Technical Director Samuel Vance, the companies design office deployed the latest hyperMILL® CAD-S Solid software that integrates 3D and 5-axis milling and turning strategies in a simple user interface.
With the addition of advanced machining capability into its portfolio, Ad-Vance Engineering is now able to significantly reduce cycle times.
New GB technical sales office
The company’s ability to work closely with its OEM and trade moulder partners has been further boosted with the appointment of a new UK-based Technical Sales Manager, David Parry.
David has extensive experience in the injection moulding industry, having started his career as an injection mould toolmaker where he gained skills covering all aspects of the injection moulding process and press tool making.
He has recently enjoyed senior technical roles as a project and technical manager working with blue-chip companies on end-to-end concept and design through to tooling development for tier 1 partners.
David’s technical expertise and focus on customer service excellence fit perfectly with Ad-Vance Engineering’s mission to deliver “Precision through Everything.”
