Günther Showcasing its Innovations at Fakuma 2024

At the forthcoming Fakuma show in Friedrichshafen, Germany, leading hot runner manufacturer, Günther Heisskanaltechnik will introduce two new and innovative nozzles to its range.
Firstly, a common problem with valve gate hot runner systems is that you are often restricted when looking to gate parts with small pitch centres. An example here might be where you have a round part which requires tight concentricity tolerances and therefore needs 3 gates to achieve this. Using special internal melt guidance channels the all new PRISMA nozzle from Günther offers the solution. This valve gate nozzle has 3 valve pins on a small PCD and is well suited to technical polymers in high volume moulds. Günther has a number of these nozzles already in production and customers are very happy with the reliability and performance of this design.
The second new design to be shown at Fakuma is an extension to the well established OktaFlow® range of side gate nozzles. The new nozzles offer a compact, reliable and cost-effective solution to side-gating where only 1 or 2 tips per nozzle are required. By using the smaller sub-manifold you automatically reduce energy consumption and are able to use a smaller footprint per nozzle to save space.
Different nozzle types are available to suit each application. Individual tips can be easily replaced by the customer in-house and because the sub-manifold is mounted on ‘floating’ bearings the nozzle is not affected by heat expansion. OktaFlow® is a well-known leader in the side-gating hot runner market and these new nozzles strengthen Günthers position at the forefront of this technology.
