The Plastek Group Take on Tough Mudder for Royal National Lifeboat Institution

The Plastek Group, a leading manufacturer of plastic packaging, saw nine members of its dedicated team take part in the latest Tough Mudder challenge in Skipton, Yorkshire, raising funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

The nine Plastek colleagues made the trip up North to face their toughest challenge yet, as all agreed this was the most demanding physical challenge they have yet faced in their fund-raising efforts.

As in previous events, the company supported the Warriors to the hilt, providing transportation, branded T-shirts and hoodies, and much-needed energy snacks and drinks. Despite the degree of difficulty and the significant amount of mud to be removed, the Plastek Warriors had a great time and raised a fabulous £460 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

“To raise a significant amount of money for a great charity is a great thing in itself,” said Customer Services Manager and long-serving Plastek Warrior Danielle Harkness, “but these are also fabulous and very worthwhile team-building opportunities, especially for Chris and Ryan who are very new to the business.”

Hopefully getting drenched and filthy for a good cause won’t make them regret their choices!
