Rutland Plastics to Bring Nostalgia to Interplas
Rutland Plastics started plastic injection moulding in 1956, only a few years after the first Interplas was held in 1948. Rutland Plastics has grown significantly over the years. However, it is still a family business based in Oakham in Rutland, with the site housing an extensive range of state-of-the-art moulding machines.
As one of the leading injection moulding companies in the UK, Rutland Plastics can produce mouldings from 1g to 45kg in weight, up to 1.5m in size and provides full design, toolmaking and ancillary services.
The first day of Interplas, Tuesday 26th September, will see Stuart Johnston, Director of Rutland Plastics, take to the stage as part of a panel to discuss reshoring and contract manufacturing with the British Plastics Federation. A cross-section of Britain’s trade moulders will come together to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the post-Brexit, post-COVID manufacturing landscape. How much work was re-shored in recent years? Will it stay here in the UK? What is the model for contract manufacturing going forward, and gives an insight into the possible outcomes for the future of the sector.
The Rutland Plastics’ stand, A18, will contain a range of products that the company has manufactured over the years, along with examples of 3D printed work. Rutland Plastics’ team members will be on hand to discuss all aspects of injection moulding, design and manufacture and how Rutland Plastics can be your injection moulding partner.
