Plastribution to Exhibit at Sustainable Plastics Live
Leading plastic raw materials distributor, Plastribution, will be exhibiting at Sustainable Plastics Live, part of the inaugural Plastics Live event held at the CBS Arena, Coventry, on 5-6 July. As the headline sponsor of Sustainable Plastics Live, the company will be promoting its Sustainable Materials Portfolio on stand A28.
Sustainable Plastics Live aims to bring together recycling professionals and plastic processors from across the UK for two days of networking, knowledge-sharing, and innovation. The event looks set to drive conversations and help companies discover how new materials and technologies are leading to producing a better quality product.
Plastribution originally launched the UK’s first portfolio of materials with more sustainable credentials in 2019. The move was in response to ongoing environmental concerns regarding plastic and the calls from designers, brand owners, OEMs and converters for solutions for a diverse range of applications. Since then the company has been proactive in providing clarity and guidance on sustainable materials, whilst demonstrating the real solutions available to achieve sustainability goals.
Their Sustainable Materials Portfolio is split into seven branches: Reduced Carbon Footprint; Biodegradable/Compostable Polymers; Water Soluble Polymers; Bio-sourced Content; Circular Economy Grades; Renewable Content; and Recycled and Recyclability.
Alongside comprehensive web pages showcasing the portfolio, the company has also established a dedicated sustainability team comprising of in-house experts. The team’s roles include researching material innovations, ongoing development of the product portfolio, educating staff and providing industry leading technical support where required.
“We very much look forward to participating in the first Sustainable Plastics Live event,” said Plastribution’s managing director, Mike Boswell. “Our sustainable materials initiative is all part of our value proposition by addressing the needs of our customers – they asked us to provide our expertise and advice in this constantly evolving area and we responded with a comprehensive and evolving portfolio of products. We have a long and successful history of providing customers with unequivocal support including technical training and education – this is what sets us apart from other distributors.”
As part of the event’s speaker line up, Plastribution’s technical & business development manager, Dan Jarvis, will also be presenting a talk entitled ‘UBQ – The most climate-positive thermoplastic material on the market’ on 6 July at 3pm.
