PlastikCity Joins East Midlands Chamber
Online procurement and marketing hub for the plastics industry, PlastikCity, has become a member of the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce. PlastikCity, now in its tenth year of trading from the South Leicestershire countryside, hopes to strengthen bonds with local businesses and aid the region’s economic expansion.
PlastikCity is delighted to announce its new membership to the East Midlands Chamber, the leading business representation organisation in the East Midlands region. Comprising over 4,300 local businesses, from start-ups to global brands, the Chamber is renowned across the region for enhancing the business community in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
Becoming an active member of local organisations and supporting business growth and networking initiatives such as the East Midlands Chamber is part of PlastikCity’s recent plans for expansion as the digital procurement company enters its 10th year of trading. In October 2021, PlastikCity announced the release of the next generation of its procurement platform, with a website overhaul enabling visitors to more easily access and gain comparative quotes from industry-leading manufacturers and suppliers.
Keeping up with this momentum, in January 2022, the newly revamped ‘Plastic Industry Jobs’ section on the PlastikCity website was unveiled, with the goal of improving efficiency and modernising the way companies in the sector operate by creating a central jobs board dedicated to the plastics industry. Jobs posted on the PlastikCity feature recruitment companies, PlastikCity Partners, and general plastics industry positions, and now with over 80 live positions listed, it is one of the central employment hubs for the sector.
Now in Spring 2022, PlastikCity has joined the East Midlands Chamber, further aligning with its goals for growth.
Speaking about the membership, PlastikCity’s Communications Director, Jess Clarke, commented:
