Protool Plastics Group Delivers 50 Million PPE Mouldings

During the Coronavirus pandemic, the Protool Plastics Group has delivered over 50 million personal protective equipment (PPE) mouldings from its Fareham and Manchester sites to major OEMs around the globe.

The Protool Plastics Group has been moulding parts for personal and industrial safety equipment (PPE) since 1987. Such mouldings are used around the world in drug delivery systems, helping asthma sufferers breathe and keeping soldiers in contact with headquarters, to name a few examples. Fast forward to 2021 and the company is continuing to thrive, having completed multiple expansion plans in 2020, which will have undoubtedly assisted in the production of such a high volume of PPE.

An outstanding achievement and contribution from the Protool Plastics Group, Michael Hadfield, Group Managing Director, commented:

I’m very proud of the performance of our teams in Fareham and Manchester. During the current Covid-19 pandemic, we have delivered over 50 million PPE mouldings from our Fareham and Manchester sites to locations around the world.

Our technical team have helped develop and completed new product introduction on several complex mask assemblies, inlet valves, exhale valves, filters assemblies, forced air respirators and head cradles.”
