A Christmas Message from the Plasticom Group
2020 has been a year like no other, and will surely go down as one of the most difficult years of our working lives. Despite the circumstances, the industry has stuck together and persevered, and achieved a great deal of success this year.
The Plasticom Group, a Kent-based injection moulding and toolmaking company is reflecting on the events of a very challenging year. Despite the disruption, the company is proud to have been a major part of the UK’s COVID-19 response, as it worked alongside McLaren Racing and the Ventilator Challenge UK consortium in May and June to complete an urgent order of 15,000 ventilator parts.
In September, Plasticom received a letter of recognition from the UK Cabinet Office, personally thanking the company for its ‘invaluable contribution’ to the Ventilator Challenge, showing the ‘very best of British business.’
Company Director, Sonia Simmonds comments: “As difficult as this year has been for all of us, Plasticom is immensely proud for our involvement in the ventilator challenge, helping to combat the virus and save lives during this horrific pandemic.
“We would like to thank all of our fantastic customers for their support and despite the difficulties you may have faced, with determination and optimism we can say with conviction, that anything 2021 throws at us, together we can succeed.
“We look forward to continuing this close cooperation again in 2021, hopefully in person! In the meantime, we wish you all a very merry and safe Christmas and a prosperous New Year.”
