New Injection Moulding Machines for Protomould Plastics

Yorkshire-based injection moulders and toolmakers, Protomould Plastics, continue the expansion of their new facility with the purchase of a new fleet of made-to-order injection moulding machines.

After significant investment in their new factory building, which was completed in 2018, Protomould Plastics felt their new building deserved some new machinery. With a continued focus on growing the business, the decision was made to replace their fleet of time-served injection moulding machines with some brand new made-to-order machines.

To better serve their customer base, Protomould purchased a fleet of Sarac injection moulding machines, with press sizes ranging from 60-320T. The machines have proved to be a great success, ideally suited to the company’s requirements; being extremely dependable while delivering consistently quality parts.

From Protomould’s specifications, customer profiling and target markets, they identified a requirement for 60, 90, 160 and 320T presses. These will work with the existing 30-50T presses the company currently possess.

The average annual volumes for Protomould are between 1000-150,000 parts per annum, which have proved ideal for supplying their customers needs in their various market sectors.

Along with strengthening their on-site tool room with new staff and machinery, Protomould is keen to attract new business from all market sectors.
