OnePlastics Group Continues to Invest in Capacity, Service and Growth

In the last two months OnePlastics has installed 6 new machines at the Protech Plastic Containers business in Tamworth, increasing production capacity of pails and paint cans. In addition, the group has opened a 44,000-square foot logistics centre in Tamworth. This will support distribution of products for Protech Containers and one of the group’s trade moulding operations, AAC Plastics. Investment in Tamworth included in a new Warehouse Management System (Snapfulfil WMS) & production process (Intouch) Software.
The Group has expanded its production capabilities with an investment of over £6 million at the two sites of its Protech business in Ireland and China. This strategic move allows both facilities within the OnePlastics stable to increase production and develop innovative plastics packaging and product solutions to clients in its chosen markets domestically and internationally.
A seven-figure sum investment at Straight Ltd in Hull and MGB Plastics in Rotherham has acquired five new high tonnage injection moulding machines and a further blow moulding machine. The businesses are the UK’s leading wheeled bin, kitchen caddie and recycling container manufacturers. The new machines will allow the company to increase production and lead the market by developing further innovative recycling products.
The group has over 140 moulding machines at the 5 sites ranging from 30 tonnes to 2700 tonnes. 12 of the UK based machines are over 1500 tonnes and capable of producing large plastic components and products.
